    Flor de Esgueva cheese is handmade in the town of Peñafiel (population 5.000) in Valladolid, Castile and Leon, with 100% raw sheep's milk, and is covered with a characteristic dark brown natural rind smeared with olive oil.  It is matured in natural rind for a minimum of 7 months.

    When tasting Flor de Esgueva old cheese, you can appreciate in the nose very pleasant notes of sheep's milk and a very personal sweet and cereal note. In the mouth it has a buttery texture despite its long maturation, and is both pleasant and powerful in flavour.
